Gravito Grimm (Hero/Villain)

Code-name: Gravito Grimm

Full Name: Gravito Grimm

Faction: Grimm

Among the countless Grimm, few ever dream beyond their station. Grimm, born of chaotic hyper-mutation, serve the collective without question, their monstrous forms oozing mischief and mayhem. Gravito Grimm, however, was destined for more – though not by choice.

The Magnetic Helmet was an artifact of fearsome power, forged in a parallel universe where gravity and magnetism were twisted into a singular force through necro-science. The dread helm was a mighty artefact used by the Necroplane, its wearer usually at the spearhead of multiversal invasions. The last Necroplane wielder of the Magnetic helmet was the reanimated Supreme known as Gravemind, a cadaverous husk given unholy might by the Necroplane’s dark science, the headgear’s potential deployed in service of destruction.

Gravemind’s tenure in the ranks of Tenebrous’ forces was destined to be brief. During an incursion into Pulp City, the Supreme found himself pitted against Solar and a coalition of heroes determined to stop the Necroplane’s advances. In the chaos of battle, Gravemind’s reliance on the Magnetic Helmet became his downfall. Solar, with preternatural precision, delivered a searing blow that not only decapitated Gravemind but sent the Magnetic Helmet hurtling through the air like a comet.

The Magnetic Helmet’s trajectory took it far from the battlefield, crashing into industrial ruins claimed by the Grimm. Among the scavengers that swarmed the artifact’s landing site was an unassuming Grimminion which had not yet achieved its full and final Grimm manifestation. Small, even by Grimminion standards and prone to clumsiness, the Grimminion tentatively prodded at the fallen object at its feet. When others hesitated, awed or terrified by the Helmet’s ominous glow, that Grimminion acted. It reached out the helmet, dropping it in its clumsiness, before reaching out more carefully to pick it up. As it raised the helm above its head, the artefact glowed a bright hellish purple. With a squeal the Grimminion jammed the trophy down on its head. Then the transformation began.

As stubby, clawed fingers grasped the Helmet, a surge of power rippled through the Grimminion’s form. The artifact, attuned to magnetic and gravitational forces, required a host, and it had found a new subject. What it encounatered was a creature of boundless adaptability, its essence molding perfectly by the Helmet’s energy. The Grimminion quickly and painfully grew in stature and musculature, while new neural pathways were forged in its Grimm mind.
A voice, deep and resonant, echoed in the new Grimm’s mind: “You are mine, and I am yours. Together, we shall defy the cosmos.”

Gravito Grimm was born.

Unlike most Grimm, Gravito’s newfound intelligence and independence set it apart from most Grimmkind. The Magnetic Helmet granted it mastery over gravity and magnetism, allowing Gravito Grimm to manipulate the battlefield in ways that made the misshapen creature a formidable force. Debris became projectiles, foes were hurled skyward, and the very ground beneath enemy feet became a weapon.

Gravito’s allegiance remained with the Grimm and their master, John Grimmsham. Though its origins tied him to the Necroplane, Gravito bore no love for the dark dimension. Instead, Gravito Grimm delighted in upending their schemes, a rebellious streak that made it another wildcard in Pulp City’s ongoing battles. Heroes and villains alike learned to tread carefully when Gravito Grimm entered the fray, for its motives were as unpredictable as the forces it wielded.

In the ever-chaotic tapestry of Pulp City, Gravito Grimm stands as a testament to the power of chance and the irrepressible nature of the Grimm. Where others see a hapless underling, Gravito sees destiny, and with the Magnetic Helmet perched proudly atop its head, this Grimm is determined to reshape the world, one gravitational anomaly at a time.
